Is Tony Robbins’ New Book Worth $20.00?

“Is Tony Robbins’ New Book Worth $20.00?”
It depends . . . are you happy to pay anything for a thinly disguised sales pitch?
Tony Robbins has been around a long time selling his tapes, books, cds, dvds, and live programs to hundreds of thousands of people. I’ve read, heard, and watched much of his material over the years with some modest degree of benefit.
Now he crosses into the world of finance and investing with a new book purporting to provide great insights into mastering money. Six hundred (600) pages claiming to give you the best he has to offer.
And maybe it does. Perhaps the best Robbins has to offer at this stage of his career is a thinly disguised sales pitch and a never ending list of conflicts of interest in the hopes of boosting his net worth – at your expense.
Do not buy this book. Glance at it at the bookstore. Borrow it from the library. Come look at my copy. Start at the back with the roster of full page ads for the various companies he has financial interests in and touts throughout the body of his book.
Tony Robbins is not a ‘third party, impartial expert’ sharing financial wisdom. He is the original late-night infomercial guy using ink and paper instead of electrons and insomnia.
You can find lots better ways to invest $20.00.
Of course, this is just my opinion.
I could be wrong.
I’m not, but I could be.
What do you think?
