“I’ve been investing in the stock of my (large & well-known) company for my entire 38-year career. I now have (literally) a ton of stock. It’s almost half of our retirement savings. Some is in my 401(k) and the rest I own outright. I know I shouldn’t have so much of our savings in one stock but I’m not sure the best way to sell it without getting killed on taxes. My tax bracket is still going to be high this year – should I wait until next year when I plan to retire?”
