Happy New Year! Some (the less poetic among us) would say it is just another date on the calendar. Most of us would say it feels quite different. A clean slate. A fresh start. A wonderfully appropriate time to make changes and start new things.
In the words of the great American philosopher and poet, Dr. Seuss:
“You’ll never get bored when you try something new.
There’s really no limit to what you can do!”
There really are no limits to what we can do. It’s the doing that is the key. Thinking is an excellent start. Planning is quite useful. Doing brings all of our dreams to life. Trying! Feeling the excitement of breaking new ground. Seeing the results (whatever those results might be) of your efforts. Stretching, physically, mentally and spiritually.
An ancient thinker suggested that the closest we humans can get to God, the Great Creator, is in the creation of another life – a baby. Though I’m decidedly short on personal experience in this area, I have observed that the miracle of life is only created at the end of some quite intense labor. The two most wonderful mothers I have ever known assure me that the miracle of the birth of their children made the challenging labor most worthwhile.
Labor, effort, trying, and doing produce miracles.
Please allow us to serve you and those you love.
Thank you,
Gene
P.S. What miracles would you like to see in your life in 2022?
