American Freedom offers Americans the freedom to do, be, and become whatever they and God determine they can and should become. And that includes the freedom to become financially free.
Financially freedom is not Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, or Mark Zuckerberg and their accumulation of other-worldly wealth. Financial freedom is accumulating sufficient assets and resources that you may enjoy your life without the requirement that you work.
For many Americans, getting to that level is a dream. Without experience, knowledge, training (or maybe a good advisor . . .) it may seem impossible. But it’s not. It’s there for all willing to follow some financial basics.
The volatility of the stock markets over the past three months has brought back to my mind one of those financial basics. When folks get excited about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies (or any other financial ‘must have’ that you can think of) I return to this financial advice given by the great American philosopher, Will Rogers:
“I ain’t nearly so concerned about the return on my money
as I am in the return of my money!”
Little, tiny, two letter prepositions that make all the difference in the world.
When you’re tempted. Tempted to reach way out further on that financial limb to grab that last juicy apply – remember Will Rogers. Take a breath and enjoy your financial freedom in peace. And then hug that tree you grew.
Please allow us to serve you and those you love.
Thank you,
Gene
P.S. When was the last time you checked your investments to insure the return of your money instead of return on your money?
